Propagation is by seed. Sow seed not more than 5 mm deep in moist but well-drained soil and keep warm. Should germinate within a few weeks.
In India the bark of Alstonia scholaris is used for medicinal purposes, for example, malaria, epilepsy and asthma. The Tantra cult in India utilises the seeds of Alstonia scholaris as an aphrodisiac and stimulant in their tantric sex rituals.
